Are You Ready to Make A Difference?

Volunteers help create meaningful experiences for students, staff, and school communities across Mesquite ISD. Whether you are supporting campus events, helping in the classroom, assisting with school activities, or sharing your talents through a special project, your time makes a difference. All campus volunteers must complete an annual volunteer background check before serving at a Mesquite ISD school.

Start Here 

Complete the annual volunteer application in English or Spanish. After you apply, Raptor will email you when your application is awaiting approval and again once it has been processed.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer needs vary by school. Explore common opportunities below, then reach out to your child’s school to discover on-campus options where you can make a difference.

  • Help students discover great books by assisting with book fair setup, organizing displays, guiding shoppers, and assisting at checkout. 

  • Help create welcoming campus spaces by updating bulletin boards, decorating displays, and showcasing student work or school announcements.

  • Support students and staff during meal times by helping with lunch routines, seating, special lunch events, or general cafeteria support.

  • Assist teachers with classroom activities, preparing materials, reading with students, supporting small groups, or helping with special projects.

  • Support campus staff by helping with copies, preparing materials, organizing supplies, or assisting with other needs.

  • Help prepare for campus events by setting up tables, decorating spaces, organizing materials, and creating a welcoming environment for families.

  • Assist with family nights, performances, celebrations, school activities, and other campus events by welcoming guests and helping activities run smoothly.

  • Help campuses raise support for students and school programs by assisting with fundraiser setup, promotion, organization, or event-day needs.

  • Help create a smooth and welcoming start to the school day by assisting staff with morning arrival routines and greeting students and families.

  • Help picture day run smoothly by assisting with student lines, organizing classes, supporting photographers, and helping students feel prepared.
